Healthy Hair

Healthy beauty

As I mentioned before in one of my earlier posts you should sometimes do a home made hair treatment as well as going for hair treatments at the beauty salon.

There are certain foods that help to keep our hair healthy -  as I am sure you know then health living has an effect on our skin, hair, health etc.

So  here are a few tips of what you can add to your diet to boost your hair.

Food for your hair

I love eating Salmon, it is a great tasty fish full of many nutrition. Salmon helps having a shiny hair as it is packed with omega 3 fatty acids which also supports hair growth.

Dark green leafy

Dark green leafy vegetables (such as spinach) are full of amazing nutrients. It has tons of vitamin A and also iron.  Specifically iron is very important for our hair as it helps you having a healthy scalp and keeps your hair moisturized. Anther good example of a leafy vegetable that is great for your hair is kale.

 Eggs

If you don't get enough of protein you can experience hair loss. As hair is made of protein, you should ensure that you get enough protein in your diet which also contain Biotin that helps with hair grow. You can get your protein from eggs, chicken, turkey, and fish - but avoid to much of red meat.

Cinnamon

I normally sprinkle cinnamon on oatmeal for my breakfast and some honey. It helps with blood flow.

Sweet potatoes

Sweet potatoes contain carotene that our body convert into vitamin A - it helps to protect against dry hair.

It is also about "inside" health, eat a balanced diet of vitamins and minerals to keep your hair looking healthy and beautiful.
